- ORDERING GENUINE LEATHER:
If you require to convert Linear yard requirement to genuine leather, multiply the number of linear yards ( 55” wide) with 18. Total represents the square feet of leather to be purchased.
(x)LY * 18 = SQ FT (i.e. 1 LY = 18 sq. ft.)
This formula accounts for the natural shaped hides and the waste factor so there is no need to add additional square footage.
Above conversion is based on 55” wide rolls and genuine leather hides averaging 50 square feet.
- ORDERING FAUX LEATHER / VYNIL
Faux leather comes on 55” wide rolls with length varying from 23 LY to 32 LY depending on the style. Please refer to the Furniture Quantity Requirements guide for quantity estimate based on the style.
- ORDERING SPECIALY LEATHERS
Most Hair-on, and embossed leathers are produced on half hides, average size 25 – 30 sq.ft. Some embossed products are available on full hides with slightly visible joint marks. Please contact our customerservice@lillykral.com if you require information specific to your design project.
